In Chantilly, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Virginia vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (703) 939-9789. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is vatire.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Google makes me give them at least one star, but they are really a 0. I was a MyCarClub member (I canceled it today) so I have gone there for oil changes because it's a good price, but NEVER again will I ever use them. I have had issue after issue after issue with them, but I was dumb enough to try them again today, and once again they failed me. I had a 7:30am oil change scheduled and dropped my vehicle off last night. At 8:50am I hadn't heard from them so I called for the status of my vehicle. They put me on hold to go and look, and then came back to tell me that their systems were down and they weren't working on any vehicles this morning. I asked why no one called me to let me know. No answer. I asked what they were doing for the last hour and a half they were open. No answer. I asked to talk to the manager and was told he was at the Centerville location. I called the Centerville location and they wouldn't let me talk to the manager. I told them my vehicle was at Chantilly and no one had contacted me to tell me that their systems were down and they weren't working on anything. The person on the phone apologized and said that they should have called me. Then they sa

Update: Customer service reached out to apologize and try to make things right. I appreciate the sincerity on their part and will be giving them another chance. Do not waste your time here. I made a 10:30 a.m. appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. It should have been less than a 45 minute job. After showing up at my appointment time, they for some reason prioritized every walk-in over my appointment and took over three hours just to start the work on my car. After FOUR HOURS of waiting, they finally completed the work right around 2:30 p.m. Completely unacceptable.

So I went to the metrotech VA Tire and Auto to get my safety inspection. The front desk staff was very friendly and they got me in pretty quickly. Everything was going good until I drove away and then I realized they put the sticker 9 in away from the side of the window directly in my line of sight. No worries. This is a simple mistake I thought. Clearly they can move it or put a new one on. Ended up waiting another hour and a half just to be told that there's nothing that they can do. The manager was apparently not there and was not returning the calls to the staff so they could not replace it or comp it. It's not that hard. Just to destroy the old one say that it was improperly installed or alternately comp an entirely new sticker. The worst part was the guy who put the sticker on the car was largely indifferent and somewhat rude when he came out to look at it They literally gave me an unsafe safety sticker. Can't make this up. I was told that they would make it right but no one ever called me back. I've been a customer for over 20 years at a different location however never going back there again. I'll give them two stars because the front desktop was super fast and polite.

I have been going to VA Tire and Auto for years and recently bought new tires from here, which included their β€œTire Protection Plan” warranty. My tire exploded on the highway and I pulled off within one mile of the blowout (to get to a safe place to pull off) and when I took the car in they wouldn’t honor the warranty saying I drove too far on the flat tire. I explained what happened and spoke to a local manager, who then spoke to a higher level manager and they refused to honor the warranty blaming me. I will never go back to this place, they chose $150 over a loyal customer with repeat business on tires and oil changes. I do not recommend this place.

The coolant reservoir cap was left off when I picked my car up from your shop. I drove without the cap on, as how was I to know that my mechanic had forgotten to put a vital part back before letting me drive away, and my coolant got to critically low levels. Leaving the cap off was incredibly negligent behavior. When the car returned for service of the issue it was originally scheduled for, the coolant was not replenished to above minimum levels, even after I informed them of what had occurred and they claimed that they had β€œtopped it off”. My experience with this store began with them selling me a $200 initial service to investigate my AC system by flushing it out, instead of taking the easy first step of opening the hood to see if the problem was there (news flash: it was). I was also never informed that the main repair I was getting might not fix the problem. The repair was framed as an easy solution that would be done in one step. However, this turned out to not be the case, as the price of the repair just continued to rise while my faith and trust in your company started flatlining. My car also returned with multiple black smudges all over the interior, which were not there p
